Puppy class: this is typically for puppies under 6 or 7 months old. Small breeds may be a little older, but adult sized puppies will do better to come to our beginner obedience class so the little puppies do not get overwhelmed. Not sure if this is right for you? Please contact us!
Puppies should be at least 12 weeks and have 3 sets of vaccinations to attend. If you have had any dog with Parvo or Distemper IN YOUR HOUSE IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS YOUR PUPPY IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CLASS AT THIS TIME.
Class will meet once a week for 6 weeks. Classes are not prorated, and it is in your puppy’s best interest and education to come to class and practice at home. No refunds will be given for the class fees, but if we determine your puppy is not a good candidate for the group class, your instructor has the discretion to transfer your class fees to credits toward a private session.
Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable learning experience for your pup and for you!
Class material may vary with the puppies in attendance but typically introduces:
Loose leash walking, sit, down, come, stay, no jumping, leave it, and “spot” (go to your mat). In addition, we will talk about basic good manners and impulse control puppy skills.
